The Meadows Shopping Centre in Chelmsford has been raising thousands of pounds to help the tsunami victims.
When staff at the shopping centre heard about the tsunami, it was all hands on deck as staff, tenants and customers thought about ways to raise funds for those affected.
A donations vessel was placed in the mall and the shopping centre has raised £11,500 so far.
This amount was aided by various sources, including Finest Fillings, which donated all the profits from Meadows staff lunches on Monday and Tuesday.
World-renowned photographer Len Dance donated £1,175 and a raffle with more than 60 prizes is taking place today.
