Thieves have smashed their way into the front of a fish and chip shop and stolen a charity box which was collecting cash for victims of the tsunami disaster.

The burglary at Bayley's Fish Bar, in Burrs Road, Great Clacton, was discovered by Mark Badhasha and other members of his family.
Mr Badhasha said: "We were all absolutely distraught. We had had such a nice week and it was just like taking ten steps back again."
Mr Badhasha said there was about £100 in the charity box when it was taken. He said they would be starting up a fresh collection this week.
Mr Badhasha, who has run the shop since April last year, added they needed a new front door which could cost between £500 and £1,000.
