Ru Ru the dog certainly gave his owner paws for thought when he got stuck in the plughole

His owner Betty Veitch was washing her pet dog in her home in Glebe Way, Jaywick, when the accident happened.
She said: "I rinsed him off in the sink. I have a corner shower and I put him in there. I undid the plughole and switched on the shower.
"I put him in there but he couldn't move, he screamed."
Mrs Veitch said Ru Ru, a brussels griffon who is 15-years-old and blind, had got the claws on his front left paw stuck down the plug hole.
She wrapped him up in towels and called for help from the fire brigade.
