A widow has been left distraught after flowers were stolen from her late husband's memorial bench.
Devastation - Esther Killington, sitting on the bench at Frinton, which was dedicated to her husband Terry. Mean thieves stole flowers left in memory. Picture: STEVE BRADING (40422-c)
The two bouquets of flowers were on the bench dedicated to much-loved father Terry Killington, who died aged 61.
His wife, Esther, 64, of Temple Close, Frinton, said the two bouquets were left by herself, her son Daniel and the grandson Mr Killington never met before his death.
But just days later, the flowers put there to remember his life had gone.
She has condemned the actions of the theft as "like robbing a grave" and appealed to the culprits not do it again, as it severely hurts grieving relatives.
She said by drawing attention to the act and the repercussions would make sure those who did it would never do it again.
