No doubt most Colchester United fans will hoping for a tie away today when the FA Cup fourth round draw is announced.
So far they have only lost once on the road in nine matches and in recent weeks they have put in high-class performances as well.
At the Kingston Communication Stadium it was no different.
If anything it was better than what has been served up in recent weeks, including a sensational 3-0 win at Swindon Town and a sterling 2-2 draw at Luton Town.
The 'KC', as it is known, was all ready to rip the U's to shreds.
A vocal and passionate crowd close to 15,000 die-hard Hull City fans were there to cheer on the Tigers and roar them to victory.
But, it only stood to stir the U's and when a gauntlet is laid down before Parkinson's men on the road this term, they have been ready to answer it.
They went ahead when Craig Fagan spied Gareth Williams rushing in from the left and laid a neat pass to the Welshman, who struck a first-time effort that nestled neatly into the opposite corner on 27 minutes.
Just two minutes later they went further ahead, Fagan nipping in at the near post to score from close range off a Kevin Watson corner.
The Tigers were not allowed to settle throughout the game and in the end it was a comprehensive and deserved victory for Parkinson's gallant charges.
Ipswich Town were left to concentrate on the league after they were beaten 3-1 at Portman Road by Premiership Bolton.
After a 0-0 half-time, Bolton broke the dead lock with a goal from Stelios Giannokopoulos on 60 minutes with Henrik Pedersen adding a brace for the visitors (65 and 68 mins).
Tommy Miller got the consolation for Town on 70 minutes.
