That was the epic task which awaited a brave team of Scalextric enthusiasts this weekend.
The team managed to keep their eyes open and their fingers on the button from 3pm on Saturday until 3pm yesterday.
The event was held to raise money for the refurbishment appeal at Christ Church United Reformed Church, Carnarvon Road, Clacton.
It needs £17,000 to refurbish the main church toilet facilities and possibly provide showers as well, including access for the disabled and parents and toddlers.
Garry Champion, of Clacton Models, in St Osyth Road, Clacton, said it went well and everyone managed to stay awake.
