Colchester United progressed into the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 victory away at Hull on Saturday.
Goals from Gareth Williams (27 mins) and Craig Fagan (29 mins) ensured the U's triumphed ending the home side's nine-match winning run in the process.
Elsewhere Ipswich Town were left to concentrate on the league after they were beaten 3-1 at Portman Road by Premiership Bolton.
After a 0-0 half-time, Bolton broke the dead lock with a goal from Stelios Giannokopoulos on 60 minutes with Henrik Pedersen adding a brace for the visitors (65 and 68 mins).
Tommy Miller got the consolation for Town on 70 minutes.
West Ham knocked out Premiership Norwich City when Marlon Harewood scored the only goal of the game in the 82nd minute.
