Great Wakering Rovers - who went 11 Southern League Division One East home games without claiming a victory - have now won two in six days.
They followed up their 4-2 Bank Holiday success over Aveley by beating Tilbury 2-0 in another Essex derby at Burroughs Park on Saturday.
This battle of the basement boys in front of a 142 crowd - Tilbury are bottom and the village side immediately above them - was never pretty in a near gale force wind which badly affected play, particularly in the first-half.
