CANVEY enter tomorrow's home local derby with Dagenham and Redbridge (1pm) with a "we must learn to see out games" warning from assistant manager Glenn Pennyfather.
Gulls have drawn 10 of their 23 Nationwide Conference games - including sharing the spoils in seven of their 12 Park Lane appearances.
Said Pennyfather: "If we'd collected full points from only half those matches we'd be looking at a place in the play-offs instead of being too close to the relegation area for comfort.
"Tuesday's home clash with Woking was a good example. When we went 2-1 up fairly late on and were well on top there only looked one result.
"But, despite the fact that it was a highly questionable penalty that saw them on terms, it can't be denied that we let them back in the game again.
"After three home draws on the trot in matches we should have won it would obviously be great to start 2005 by finishing the job in a big derby game such as the one tomorrow."
