New efforts are being made to clamp down on anti-social behaviour in a village.
The community and local organisations have joined forces with police officers and Tendring Council in a bid to tackle the issue in Great Clacton with a host of new measures.
These include a new barrier at a car park which has been in operation for just a few days.
Residents living in the area have suffered problems around the Somerfield car park in North Road for the past year.
Regular complaints include anti-social driving, loud music from parked cars, and burnt-out and abandoned vehicles.
The village has also suffered from numerous attacks of vandalism in nearby St John's churchyard.
A Clacton police spokesman said: "This partnership approach is another example of Tendring's commitment to tackle anti-social behaviour by working together."
