TWO of South-east Essex's youngest golf professionals are jetting off early next year in a bid to further their careers.
Ricki Winn, aged 19, and attached to The Essex Golf Complex at Garon Park and 23-year-old Paul Ring, from Boyce Hill, fly out to Durban on January 13 to play in the qualifying rounds of the South African Airways Open.
Both boys have excellent support teams with Ricki being coached by Peter Mitchell, European player and coach, and Paul by Keith Williams, England head coach.
Both feel that their young guns are ready to learn their business.
The duo are spending two weeks in South Africa and will not only be trying to qualify for the big event, but also be practising in the hot weather for their busy schedule throughout 2005.
