A group of children want to put the pom-poms back into cheerleading.
We need help - Walton Wildcats need cash help to buy kit and pom-poms. Picture: TERRY WEEDEN (40150-2)
Although they formed six months ago, the Walton Wildcats have no pom-poms - and no uniforms.
The group, who practise in Soken House at Frinton's Triangle Centre, are thriving with members but are struggling to find money to buy essential kit.
Lyn Garner, who set up the squad, said out of the weekly subs they have been able to scrape together the hall hire and have paid for fully comprehensive insurance for the girls.
But now they are appealing for businesses in the area to sponsor them so they can buy the equipment, including vital practice mats.
Anyone who can help the group should ring 01255 677023.
