Kevin horlock took a philosophical stance after Ipswich Town's Boxing Day defeat at Millwall.

The Blues - who were due to be back in action at lunch-time today when they entertained Stoke City - crumbled to a 3-1 defeat at The New Den.

But Horlock admitted there was no need for 'panic stations' especially as they kept their grip on top spot in the Coca-Cola Championship.

The midfielder said: "We'll play worse and win this season, and - despite our disappointment - it's important we remember that.

"To be honest, I was bewildered as to how we didn't win the game, let alone get a point.

"We were so on top in the first half and even one of their players admitted they were fortunate to be winning.

"Then they scored a second goal and that was a real killer. It knocked the stuffing out of us.

"Having said that, we were guilty of not taking our chances. Football's all about scoring goals so from that point of view we let ourselves down."

Horlock, whose side also face West Ham and Plymouth over the holiday period, added: "The great thing is that we haven't got long to wait before we get a chance to put things right."
