Two village sports clubs may have to find new homes - unless they can come up with more cash to pay for pitches and facilities.
Both St Osyth Football Club and St Osyth Cricket Club have been given the ultimatum by the charity that runs their ground at Cowley Park.
Trustees are concerned that what the teams pay out is not covering the costs of running the site and have taken steps to redress the balance.
Mark Shuttleworth, chairman of the charity, said it was time the clubs coughed up a realistic rent for the ground.
"We have worked out there is a shortfall of £3,791 in the winter for the football and £964 in the summer for the cricket," he said.
