Phil Parkinson is eager to start the festive fixtures with a bang.
The Colchester United supremo leads his charges out against high-flying AFC Bournemouth at Layer Road on Boxing Day in a bid to pick three points off the Cherries in Coca-Cola League One.
And Parkinson said: "We want to start our Christmas fixtures with a bang. Bournemouth are on a good run, but we know what we've got to do.
"We need to get back to the positive way we played at home earlier in the season."
The U's - who visit Luton on Tuesday - have struggled in their recent League matches at Layer Road. They have managed just a single point out of a possible 15.
