"Long may it continue" - that was Jason De Vos' Christmas wish as he prepared for Ipswich Town's trip to Millwall.
And the commanding centre-half had three reasons for having that dream.
The former Wigan man is desperate for his side to keep winning and stay top of the Coca-Cola Championship.
But he also hopes his rock-solid defensive partnership with Richard Naylor continues flourishing in the New Year.
De Vos told the Gazette: "Richard's a great guy and fantastic to play alongside. We're similar players and that's why we gel so well.
"We're both very aggressive and like to communicate and organise the players around us, making sure we defend as a unit.
"Hopefully that's why the team is doing better in that department that it has in recent seasons."
