Opponents and supporters of a controversial plan for an historic Maldon landmark will have to wait a year to hear its fate.
Controversial plans to build an annexe at All Saints' Church in Maldon High Street were turned down by district councillors earlier this year.
The Parochial Church Council (PCC) scheme became a talking point in the town. It subsequently lodged an official appeal with the Planning Inspectorate.
Officers will hear from everyone involved in the case at the hearing, provisionally booked for October 18, 2005, at Maldon District Council's offices in Princes Road, Maldon.
