Police are warning homeowners to make sure their homes are secure after a spate of daytime burglaries.
Jewellery and ornaments were stolen from a home in The Street, Weeley, after burglars got in through the back doors between 11.30am and 4pm yesterday.
In the Great Bentley area, two homes were broken into on the same day.
In one incident, jewellery and cash was stolen between 12.30pm and 1.30pm. In the other, between 10am and 1pm, jewellery and computer equipment was taken.
Insp Alan King, of Clacton police, said: "At this time of year, there tends to be fairly expensive items laying around.
"Look after your property, make sure you have good security issues in place. Take care of it because there are other people that will take it from you given half a chance."
