A hand-carved rocking horse has helped raise more than £500 for people with mental health difficulties in the Maldon area.
The Victorian-style horse, worth £1,800, was raffled during Maldon's Victorian evening celebrations, at the town's Swan Hotel.
The horse was made by the Blackwater Task Force, which helps long-term unemployed people with mental health problems get furniture and electrical equipment.
Members of the charity helped make the horse, which was won by Gill Mullender from Maldon.
