Concrete bollards are to go up on a grass verge at Lawford to stop cars for sale being parked there.
Fed up with complaints from residents and the difficulties the vehicles created for the grasscutter, the village's parish council appealed to Essex County Council for action.
At their meeting yesterday, parish councillors heard concrete bollards were to be installed around part of the large roundabout, on land between Cotman Avenue and Cox's Hill.
David Elkin was worried the cars might be moved to another verge and thought it might be easier just to put up "no parking" signs.
"Do we want more street furniture there?" asked chairman Brian Rolfe.
