Young Basildon starlet Tommy Barton did the Vic Harris Snooker League Second Division proud by winning the Christmas Open at Rileys Benfleet.
The event, which was co-sponsored by Rileys Cuesports, Jonathon Bradley Hoare Accountants and the League, attracted 44 entrants and rewarded players with a total £460 prize money.
The final saw 15-year-old Tommy, who plays for the new towners' C team, defeat Dagenham's Jamie Simmons (Keith Davis) 3-2 to collect £150.
Jamie picked up £75 and £25 for the highest break of the day in his semi-final victory over Dave Rapp,
Jamie knocked in a 100 break on his way to a 3-1 triumph.
