The Original Cut Hair Salon, in Spa Road, Witham, held a raffle to raise the money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, which treated Katie Creed, of Allectus Way, Witham.
Staff member Margaret Fenning wanted to raise the money because she knows Katie's grandmother.
Salon owners Simon and Helena Xeni decided to help the cause.
Mr Xeni said: "Margaret wanted to raise the money for the hospital because of all they had done for Katie.
"She just wanted to help them in any way she could."
The money has now been sent to the hospital.
