Rayeligh Wyverns have pulled out of the Essex Leagues in an attempt to breath some fire back into the club's ailing first team fortunes.
The rugby club have had a miserable time in Essex Two this season, having been hammered in all eight league games played, scoring just 27 points and conceding 301 in the process.
So Wyverns have made the tough decision to start from scratch, with the main aim of rebuilding and starting again in Essex Three next term.
The club was formed in the 70s and play their fixtures at Runwell Hospital in Wickford.
Training takes place in the new year on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm.
