St Osyth will turn back the centuries in February.
The historic boatyard, village churchyard, market place, shops and back gardens will be featured on the top Channel 4 programme Time Team.
The archaeological experts, including presenters Tony Robinson and Mick Aston, came to St Osyth in May for a four-day dig and unearthed some fascinating new facts.
It is the first time the programme has been filmed in Essex and local residents turned out in force to help with the test pits.
St Osyth notched up a record 27 digs for one programme and local historians were delighted with new evidence to suggest the old Dukes Stores, formerly the Duke's Head, was originally the Guild Hall in Market Square in the 1400s.
Local historian Phyl Hendy said she thought the whole of the village would be tuned in for the hour-long programme, which will be screened on Sunday, February 27, at 6.30pm.
