A South East Essex College student is yelling "I'm not a Celebrity...Get me in there" to join a TV show based in the Borneo jungle.

Gemma Willet, 18, from Central Wall Road, Canvey wants to be one of 60 contestants for a show called Rumble in the Jungle.

But before Gemma even gets her jungle gear on she must raise £3,500 by June 2005.

However, even that amount will not cover flights or any other expense as it is all destined for children's charity, Antic.

Recalling squeaky-voiced Essex comedian Joe Pasquale's success in ITV's I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here, Gemma said: "I'm not a celebrity...Get me in there!

"I will be a member of one of four teams that must race across the Borneo jungle completing five tasks. I'll even have to catch my dinner and I'm a vegetarian."

Other tasks include abseiling, mountain climbing, swimming with hammerhead sharks, building rafts and sleeping beside deadly snakes, spiders and other nasty predators.

The performing arts student, studying HND Performing Arts (Theatre Studies), is already working hard on mental and physical preparation for challenge in June 2005.

Viewers will select a competitor for what may be the most gruelling challenge - a night spent with the ancestors of head-hunter tribesmen deep in the Borneo Jungle.

Produced by a company called Record Breakers the show will be broadcast on satellite TV on a yet-to-be-confirmed date.
