Southend United skipper Kevin Maher today labelled the current Shrimpers squad the strongest he has played in since joining the club.
Maher, the longest serving Seasiders player, arrived at Roots Hall in January 98 and believes this Blues side is among the best in League Two.
"I would have to say our squad at the moment is probably the strongest since I've been here," confirmed the former Tottenham Hotspur trainee.
"It's not really the biggest, but in terms of quality it's very good and when someone gets injured or suspended they're not missed because one of the other lads comes in and does a good job."
