Work on the £3 million project started in October and significant progress has already been made. Now the school, based in Mayes Lane, is on schedule to be open by the next school year in September.
Headteacher Pat Blackwell said: "It is getting very exciting.
"We're really thrilled - it's all on track and we're just hoping and praying we don't have any bad weather."
