Sponsors of this year's competition to make Witham greener and cleaner have been thanked for their efforts.
Financial backers of the 2004 Witham in Bloom competition were invited to a lunch at the town hall and presented with certificates commemorating their financial help.
Among the sponsors of the different categories were Farleigh Hospice, Witham Chamber of Commerce, St James's Place, the Grove Shopping Centre, Alan and Val Phillips, Irene Northfield, Dovercourt Ford, JL French, the Rafa club and the Braintree and Witham Times.
Witham in Bloom co-ordinator Annie Northfield said: "It was pretty successful really - we had plenty of people there and it was a good launch for next year."
