Fagan is not willing to stop being a winner.
The tenacious Colchester United forward does not want to ease off on his commitment on the pitch despite his discipline record suffering as a result.
The striker has bagged 11 goals this season for the U's, but on the way has picked up seven yellow cards, one red and a one-match FA suspension for his part in the fracas at Blackpool in October.
He said: "My discipline is not a big concern.
"It's not my fault I want to win.
"On a match day I'm one of the most committed people out there.
"I'm going to get stuck in because I want to win the game as much as anyone else.
"If I don't do that then I don't get goals and the fans would be more upset if I wasn't scoring."
Fagan is back in contention for a place in the squad that takes on Brentford in the Coca-Cola League One tomorrow.
He missed the 2-1 defeat at home to Hull City last weekend because of a one-match suspension.
Fagan received two yellow cards and, as a consequence, his marching orders in the U's 2-0 defeat at home to Barnsley in the League the previous Tuesday night.
