A school secretary is retiring today- after years of loyal service.
Farewell - Irene Dewitt, centre, with colleagues Barbara Falco and Gill Dawkin. (40080-1)
In September, Irene Dewitt celebrated 24 years as school secretary at Rayne Primary School, Braintree.
Mrs Dewitt, 56, from Gosfield, has two grown up children and is looking forward to spending more time with her three grandchildren.
She is also going to work part-time helping her husband Dave, an insurance assessor, with his business.
Mrs Dewitt said: "I'm going to miss the children and the atmosphere at the school.
"But I'll now get to spend more time with the family and look after my 15-month-old grandson Harry for two days a week."
