Thousands of motorists have been fined for parking illegally.
Tendring Council's traffic wardens took to the streets in October.
Since then, more than 3,000 cars have been booked for illegal parking - that works out at more than 1,000 tickets issued each month.
But while Tendring Council considers the action a success in beating the poor parkers, some traders say the lack of parking is hitting trade.
