The streets of Colchester were buzzing as thousands of people bought their Christmas presents at the town's late-night shopping evening.

With just nine days to go until the festive break, the shops were filled with customers eager to snap up those all-important gifts.
Chris Rawlinson, of Colchester town partnership, said there were people everywhere.
"In the streets, you were jostled about by people with lots of bags the place felt as if it was really buzzing," she said.
