All three of the sections in Rochford Hundred's Saturday December medal were so close they had to be decided on countback.
Division One action saw Andy Gilling (76-8=68) pip Timothy Wade (78-10=68) thanks to a better back nine, with Danny Hill (74-5=69) edging out Pat McCarthy (78-9=69) for third place.
Gilling fired nine pars and three birdies, while Wade had nine pars and two birdies but a disastrous triple bogey on the 18th cost him victory.
Division Two was just as close with cadet Will McIntosh having seven pars and three birdies in his 81-12=69, which was just too good for David Wade whose 85-16=69 included seven pars and a birdie.
Glen Mayoh's 89-20=69 was equalled by Ivor Finer (89-20=69) but, although both notched six pars, Mayoh had a superior last nine holes.
