Family and employers today paid tribute to a young man who died in a road crash.
Jason Wiegand, 21, of Hawkins Way, Braintree, died on Sunday when his Renault Clio car hit the kerb on the town's Millennium Way dual-carriageway, went on to hit the central crash barrier and overturned.
A 19-year-old male driver of another car has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and released on police bail, pending investigations.
Jason lived with his parents Eamonn and Trina and his 17-year-old sister, Samantha. He also leaves a brother, Sean, 24, who lives in Halstead.
He had lived in Braintree all his life and attended the town's Alec Hunter High School.
For almost four years, he had worked as an electroplater at Braintree Electroplaters and had recently qualified as a forklift truck driver.
After work, he enjoyed socialising with his friends, films, rhythm and blues music, football, computer games and working on his car.
His family said: "Jason was a kind and loyal person and a much-treasured son, brother and grandson, who will be missed by all who knew him. Our lives will never be the same again."
