A popular day nursery in Southend is launching a last-minute rescue plan to save it from imminent closure.
Bruce House Day Nursery, in Clifftown Parade, is calling an emergency meeting for parents tomorrow night at 7pm to discuss ways it can stay open.
The nursery blames government regulations for making the place too expensive too run. They say unless something is done they will be closing within the next two weeks.
A spokesman for the nursery said: "It's a terrible situation, we're hoping to rectify it. The Government are setting up a child-care system but that is only to win votes."
