Police have won permission to board up a home which has caused misery for neighbours.
The closure order bans anyone from entering the address in Gorse Way, Jaywick, for three months.
Colchester Magistrates' Court heard on Friday that drugs, including 3.47g of cocaine, were seized when police raided the premises on Wednesday.
A closure notice was served on tenants Naomi Goldsmith and Danny Sloggit before the hearing.
Neither appeared in court to oppose the application.
The closure order was sought as part of Operation Chicken Run, a special anti-crime initiative launched following a public meeting last month.
