After a lifetime in football, Joe Royle must be bored senseless of regal puns on his surname.
But, in his post-match press conference, he offered a pearl of his own dubbing his spirited troops the 'comeback kings'.
That sums things up for the Blues. For the second time in as many games, they gave the opposition a head-start - only to roar back and reap dividends.
Last week they fought back from two-down to salvage a point at Crewe. But that was nothing compared to this second-half transformation.
Two Paul Furlong strikes put Rangers in the driving seat but an awesome second period, capped by a flurry of goals, made it a dream afternoon for the massed ranks of away fans.
It was also a perfect day for one man in particular - Ipswich new boy Darren Currie.
The winger - signed from Brighton last week - had only been on the pitch 18 minutes, replacing Kevin Horlock, before opening his scoring account for Town.
He made it a debut to remember when his long-range shot from the inside-left channel ricochetted beyond keeper Chris Day. That made it 3-2.
The fourth and final goal came from nothing.
Fabian Wilnis' throw came off a defender and Shefki Kuqi, from a tight angle, swivelled and drilled a low shot across goal inside the far post.
