New on-loan West Ham striker Greg Pearson looks set for his Canvey debut tomorrow when Gulls make the long trip north to take on fourth-placed Halifax Town in the Nationwide Conference.
Pearson, 19, yet to make his first team debut at Upton Park, is described as a big and powerful striker and looks certain to line-up alongside another loanee, Millwall's Kevin Braniff, who signed a week ago.
These two apart, the line-up for a game in which Gulls will be hoping to end a run of just one point from the last 15 on offer is open to conjecture.
Steve Ward, Neil Gregory, Jon Keeling, Jeff Minton and Chris Duffy are all among those who may need late tests before the line-up is finalised with long term crocks Lee Boylan, Ty Gooden and Kevin Dobinson all still out.
This is the first Conference return fixture for Gulls, who lost 1-0 at home to Halifax in the early weeks of the season.
