Neil Danns has extended his stay at injury-plagued Colchester United - providing a welcome boost for boss Phil Parkinson.
The Blackburn Rovers loanee will be part of the Layer Road squad for another month, after signing a new deal yesterday.
The news comes as Parkinson is busy tallying-up the injury toll from Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Walsall in the Coca-Cola League One.
Midfielders Bobby Bowry and Kevin Watson both sustained injuries that forced them to miss yesterday's training.
They joined Saturday's goalscorer Richard Garcia, defender Stephen Hunt and skipper Wayne Brown in the treatment room, with the trio all suffering from ankle injuries.
Parkinson said: "It's good to have Neil on board as we have a few knocks from Saturday."
