Canvey Island soccer fans have been given a "forget about England" appeal by manager Jeff King.
At Park Lane tomorrow it is a case of "Gulls expect" as King's troops go in search of their first home win of the season against Forest Green Rovers.
Said King: "We all want to see our international team do well and it's a shame their World Cup qualifier with Wales is live on TV at the same time as we're playing Forest Green.
"It's not our fault. We would have loved to have brought the game forward to 1pm.
"But Forest Green wouldn't agree and we couldn't have the match later or on the Friday night as the game's on the pools coupon.
"Our fans were superb at Stevenage on Tuesday when we pulled off a great 4-1 win with probably our best display so far.
"And we need our supporters to get behind us again tomorrow as the visitors will undoubtedly be boosted by their first win of the season, a 1-0 victory at Woking in midweek."
