Thorpe Bay's Brand brothers called on their football pedigree to lead the goalscoring charts last weekend.
First up was left midfielder Austin Brand, who netted a hat-trick of goals from the edge of the box for Great Wakering Colts' under-8s team.
They beat Hullbridge Sports 4-1 in the Lions West Division of the South East Essex Mini-Soccer League on Sunday.
But older brother Jared went one better.
The striker netted four goals for Wakering Colts' U11s in their 7-2 away thrashing of Rayleigh Boys in Division One of the Southend and District Junior League.
Both boys go to St George's primary school in Shoebury and ended their day by celebrating the 70th birthday of their grandad Ray Brand, who was a defender with both Millwall and Southend United.
And just to round off the football connections in the family, proud dad, Paul Brand, was a midfielder with Charlton Athletic and still turns out for Southend Collegians vets.
