Colchester United manager Phil Parkinson has joined Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock in scotching speculation that youngster Greg Halford is on his way to Bramall Lane.
The rumour mill over the right-back has been in full flow all season and reports that Warnock's Blades were interested in him joins the list with West Ham United and Arsenal, who have had scouts at recent U's games.
However, the Layer Road faithful can rest assured that they are not going to lose Halford to the South Yorkshire side.
Warnock told Sheffield Star sports reporter James Shield: "The lad Halford is a full-back and that's not a priority position for us at the moment."
