Firefighters were called out to rescue a cat that had spent a night under the tiles after getting trapped in the roof space of a house.
Reunited - Hickory and her family
Six-year-old Hickory had wormed her way into the eaves of a new loft conversion put in at the home of the Slater family in Lorkin Way, West Bergholt.
Mother-of-three Philippa said: "From inside the house she must have climbed through a cupboard, down through the joists and got trapped in the cavity between the eaves and the weatherboards.
"Hickory was gone for a day and a half, and I kept hearing her mewing. I thought she was in the garden wanting to get in, but whenever I opened the back door she wasn't there."
