Soldiers from Colchester are converging on military training sites throughout the country for an annual exercise to keep their skills up to speed.

Up to 4,000 troops and 2,000 vehicles from Colchester-based 16 Air Assault Brigade will be testing their skills in the exercise Eagle's Eye.

They will be using their aviation and air assault skills at training areas in the south of England before moving on to the north and Scotland.
