Lewis Price admits he would love the chance of a loan move away from Ipswich Town.
The young goalkeeper performed heroics in Sunday's Coca-Cola Championship success at Coventry, saving a first-half penalty as the Blues went on to win 2-1.
But he knows regular number one Kelvin Davis will be back between the sticks when he recovers from a back injury.
And he admits a loan move - and with it first-team experience - could be the ideal way to boost his chances for the future.
Price told the Gazette yesterday: "There's a glimmer of hope that I might keep my place, having saved a penalty. But I'm realistic and understand Kelvin is the number one goalkeeper at this club.
"Rightly so he's real quality and has been in great form this season. From my point of view, hopefully I'd be in a stronger position to compete if I had more first-team experience under my belt."
