A widow has paid tribute to her husband who died after being stung by a wasp while on holiday in Spain.
Paul Harris, of Chelmer Terrace, Maldon, died last Wednesday, aged 60, while staying at a friend's house in El Chorro.
His widow, Rowena, 60, has spoken about how he was known and loved among the Maldon community as someone who would try to help others and will be sorely missed.
She said: "Paul was well-loved and respected by all who knew him. He was a well-liked member of the community and it has been a tragic waste of life.
"The support my family and I have received has been overwhelming, both here and abroad."
Mr Harris, who was allergic to wasp stings, went into anaphylactic shock after being stung.
