St Botolph's Street and Osborne Street have been removed from the map by Colchester Council.

Silly - Stephen Miller, of Miller Stationery in St Botolph's Street, wonders how anyone can take the council seriously. (5912-24a)

The streets, which are key to the regeneration of the St Botolph's Quarter, were missed off a map showing how congestion would be tackled in the town centre.

Stephen Miller, of Miller Stationery in St Botolph's Street, said: "The article refers to Osborne Street and St Botolph's Street, but the council can't put it on the map.

"How can the council be taken seriously when they can't get a map right? I feel sorry for the councillors who have invested confidence in that scheme. It is ridiculous."

A spokesman for Colchester Council said: "We apologise for the mislabelling of St Botolph's Street on the map in the Courier magazine.

"The purpose of the map is to give readers an overall idea of how the transport changes will affect people who travel in the town centre. But we accept that the labelling in this case was unhelpful."
