Tommy Miller admitted it was a 'huge psychological boost' to help Ipswich Town back to joint-top spot in the Coca-Cola Championship.
The Blues are second on goal difference - behind Wigan Athletic - after Sunday's dramatic 2-1 success against Coventry City at Highfield Road.
Town were indebted to an 87th-minute own goal from Matthew Mills as they sewed-up three precious points, having broken the deadlock through Dean Bowditch.
Keeper Lewis Price saved a first-half penalty for the visitors, who now have a two-week break before their next match against Burnley.
And midfielder Miller said: "It's a massive psychological boost to go into that break level on points with Wigan.
"It was a lucky way to win but, on reflection, I think we got what we deserved. In the second half, especially, I thought we were the better team."
