Ali Carter booked a second-round tie against world number four Paul Hunter in the British Grand Prix last night.
Carter, 24, from Tiptree managed a 5-4 victory over Adrian Gunnell last night at the Guild Hall in Preston.
Leeds-based Hunter dispatched Welsh player Darren Morgan 5-3 to seal his place in the tie which was due to take place at 1pm today.
