The Braintree branch of the Royal British Legion was formed in 1924, and to celebrate its anniversary the parade was led through the town by branch secretary Dennis Widdick to St Peter-in-the-Field church, Bocking.
Bert Hayward, 71, chairman of the branch, said: "It was a very good day if a little damp. We had many there with us including Alan Brooker, the chairman of the Essex Royal British Legion."
